Orion IL Fall Festival


The 43rd annual Orion Fall Festival starts this Friday, September 4th, and goes until Sunday, September 6th. It is a family friendly event that has activities for all ages, and the admission is free! Starting the festival off, on Friday, is the annual pie auction at 5:30 p.m. Saturday morning events include a 10 mile run and the Tommy & Lindsey Nicholson 5K run, both starting at 7:30 a.m. For the children, there is a candy hunt and tractor pull, along with clowns Professor Dum-Dum and Toto at 10:00 a.m. In the afternoon, there is a parade at 1:00 p.m. and pageants starting at 3:00 p.m. Sunday morning, the Orion’s Lions Club is hosting the annual pancake, sausage, biscuit and gravy breakfast at 7:00 a.m. In the evening, ComedySportz, featuring “Guys with Ties”, will be performing at 5:30 p.m.
